THE POWER OF PRAYER

PRAYER MEANS SECRET COMMUNICATION WITH GOD. ANYONE IN PRAYER DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH MAN BUT WITH GOD WHO IS ABLE TO DO MORE THAN MAN CAN DO.
HENCE, WHEN YOU DECIDE TO PRAY THERE ARE PRINCIPLES YOU NEED KNOW SO THAT YOU MAY HAVE THE ANSWERED PRAYERS.
THESE ARE:
1.CONFESSION( 2Chronicles 7:14-15)
 The purpose of confession is that God has called us to seek His forgiveness.
God is so perfect that He can not tolerate the presence of sin, whenever we sin God stays away from us.
But also we must remember that confession is not only done to God alone but to our fellow brethren.
God says, 'If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
* In confession also there are certain points we must note according to scriptures these are:
a) humbleness is a vital thing to look at as you confess to your God or anyone you are confessing to.
    There can never be forgiveness to anyone who thinks he or she has never been wrong to God.
    God requires a humble person to receive his forgiveness.

 b) Prayer is the only way to communicate with our God, this kind of prayer is a personal thing for you can never send anyone to confess on your on behalf. The bible requires us to confess our sins. You are the right person to tell God your mistakes, that both seen and the unseen.

 c) Seeking God's face simply means if we can seen then God can never be found by any sinner until he/she confesses the sins committed, then God will be found.

 Levt. 19:2b.... You shall be holy; for I, Yahweh your God, am holy.....amplified bible
d) Turning from wicked ways
     this simply means never do whatsoever we have been doing that provokes God. Whoever turns from the wicked ways does not go back again but simmply to go forward and face other challenges in life.
    So many people in life have been confessing before God but do not accept to turn away from thier wicked ways.

  YOU MUST KNOW THAT IT'S ONE THING TO SAY 'AM SORRY' AND ANOTHER THING TO TURN AWAY FROM WHATEVER EVIL YOU HAVE BEEN INVOLVING YOURSELF IN.
PLEASE LET US QUIT ALL MANNER OF THINGS THAT PROVOKES GOD'S PRESENCE FOR WE ALL WANT TO WALK IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

WE DO NOT JUST CONFESS TO BENEFIT GOD, BUT OURSELVES AND SOME OF THE BENEFITS ARE: BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY AND I'LL JUST MENTION SOME;
i) To help overcome vice or wrongs
ii) To bring us peace
iii) Help us to be trust worthy cos every saint is a true person
iv) Help us to or leads us to repentance
ONE MAN OF GOD taught me that. Confession is GOD'S COMPASS,It directs us which way to go and which way not to go. From there we are able to go the right way without sinning against God.

- because of Jesus all our pain is temporary and all our joy is eternal
